How to use the Cooking Converter
- Enter the amount from your recipe.
- Choose the units to convert from and to.
- Pick the ingredient โ weight per cup varies a lot between ingredients.
Why the ingredient matters
Cups measure volume, grams measure weight. A cup of flour weighs about 125 g, but a cup of sugar weighs 200 g and a cup of honey 340 g. That is why serious bakers weigh ingredients โ it is far more consistent than scooping.
